Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Jakevis Thomason began his dance training at Dianne’s School of Dance. He is now based in Los Angeles, working as a dancer, choreographer, and educator. 

A 2020 graduate of the University of Southern California’s Kaufman School of Dance, Jakevis has trained across a variety of movement styles, allowing him to work in both commercial and contemporary spaces. 

His performance credits include Doechii, Tate McRae, Demi Lovato, and Kali Uchis. As a choreographer, he has collaborated on projects with artists including Brandy, Megan Thee Stallion, Rita Ora, and Beyoncé. His work has also been featured in campaigns for GAP and presented through companies such as Whim W’him Contemporary Dance, Traverse City Dance Project, and USC Kaufman. 

Alongside his performance and creative work, Jakevis is passionate about arts education and teaches at conventions, studios, and programs including CLI Conservatory. He continues to explore storytelling through movement, with an aim to expand his work into film.
