NUBIE HOST

Halie Walker has been dancing since the age of two and teaching for more than six years. Growing up in Northern California, she spent her childhood in the studio, falling in love with performing, learning, and the magic of movement.
As an educator, Halie has taught hundreds of dancers from toddlers to teens in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, contemporary, and acro. She is especially passionate about early childhood dance education and builds her classes around connection, curiosity, and confidence. Her approach nurtures both technical growth and emotional development, helping every dancer feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Halie trained at the Theater Arts Preparatory School in Las Vegas, studying under leading industry professionals in commercial dance and performance. After performing professionally across the country, she discovered her true calling in the classroom, developing creative lessons and strong foundations that help young dancers fall in love with the art form.
She currently teaches at Broadway Dance Center’s Children & Teens Department in New York City, where she continues to inspire the next generation through engaging, imaginative classes that balance structure with play. In addition to her in-studio teaching, Halie serves as a Mastermind Coach for Team Julie Kay, mentoring dance teachers and studio owners across the U.S. and beyond. Through this work, she shares tools, strategies, and inspiration to help educators create classrooms filled with growth, joy, and connection.
Halie’s mission is to create meaningful spaces where dancers of all ages can grow not only in skill, but in self-belief.
